The newly launched spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) just knocked off another major milestone with BTC’s ongoing bull run. The latest data shows that Spot BTC ETFs registered a record day with more than $1 billion of net inflow on March 12, 2024. It is the first time these crypto products’ net inflow has hit the billion mark in a day.Since its launch on Jan 11, 2024, IBIT has remarkably amassed more than $11 billion in inflows, dwarfing the combined inflows of nine other issuers who received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch bitcoin spot price-based ETFs. Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB)

VanEck Bitcoin Trust (HODL)

VanEck Bitcoin Trust seeks to reflect the performance of the price of Bitcoin less the expenses of the Trust’s operations. It charges 20 bps in annual fees but the entire fee will be waived off for the first $1.5 billion of the Trust’s assets. VanEck Bitcoin Trust currently has $438.5 million in AUM and trades in a volume of 418,000 shares a day on average.

Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund (BRRR)

Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund reflects the performance of the value of a bitcoin as represented by the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate – New York Variant. It has an expense ratio of 0.25%, but the fee has been waived off for the first three months. Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund has accumulated $404.3 million in its asset base and trades in an average daily volume of 263,000 shares.

With crypto assets expected to grow to $7.5 trillion from $2.6 trillion today, the largest digital currency, Bitcoin, is set to become a $3 trillion asset by 2025 propelled by “the unprecendented success” of exchange-traded funds tied to the token, he added. He sees Bitcoin touching a high of $150,000 next year.

Bitcoin slid 2% to $71,606 as of 10:59 in New York, after reaching a record high above $73,000 on Wednesday.

“The crypto market is amidst unprecedented institutional adoption,” Chhugani said. “We expect continued success of the Bitcoin ETF and a likely launch of an Ethereum ETF within 12 months.”

When it comes to Robinhood, Chhugani said the company’s “full suite crypto offering within a regulated broker platform is in a sweet spot.” Traditional broker platforms, such as Charles Schwab Corp., “remain shy” on offering crypto, he added.

 

“In short, we are bullish crypto and we believe, Robinhood’s crypto business resurgence will restore its fortunes back again with investors.”
