Hyderabad: The Congress government is facing widespread criticism for not allowing youth to protest at the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) office and installing barbed wire fencing around the premises.

Nayini Anurag Reddy, an entrepreneur, shared images on X of the police permission granted for a Telugu Desam Party rally, stating, “Permission granted: For TDP to conduct a rally in the prime evening hours in the city. Another X user, Shakeel, commented, “If I am not wrong. Seems he is diverting CBN (TDP) entry in Telangana by arresting job aspirants.. misleading. He and his master already started game play. Our projects, investors, and private companies, government prices, and contracts may get handed over to CBN relatives / TDP binamis for sure.”

MBR, an X user, shared a video of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy assuring in the Assembly that the Congress government would not follow feudal policies and would allow people to stage protests. He questioned, “Which party is in power?”

Others posted videos and images of the Chief Minister boasting about removing barricades before Pragathi Bhavan, questioning why barricades and barbed wire fencing were being installed at the TSPSC office.

The BRSV, the student wing of the BRS, led by its president Gellu Srinivas Yadav, staged a protest at the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) in Nampally on Friday, demanding that the Congress government fulfill its promises to unemployed youth made during the Assembly elections.

Around 50 BRSV leaders managed to jump the median of the Nampally main road, surprising a large number of police personnel as they staged a sit-in protest. The protesters raised slogans against the Congress government, calling for accountability and action.

The BRSV demanded that the State government increase the Group-II and III vacancies, issue a job calendar and notify two lakh jobs as assured to the unemployed youth during the Assembly elections.

Police deployed at the Commission detained the BRSV leaders and shifted them to the local police station. Leaders from AAP also participated in the protest.
